When / where does Troop SC-4224 meet?
Troop SC-4224 is chartered with East Pickens Baptist Church, a Southern Baptist Church located on Gentry Memorial Hwy between Pickens and Easley, SC. EastPickens.orgThe troop meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights from 6:15 - 8:00 for regular troop meetings. The rest of the troop calendar includes activities such as campouts, day trips, a fundraiser, special family events, etc.
On certain dates throughout the program year the troop also holds special events. These events are typically off-campus and are posted on our calendar.
How much does American Heritage Girls cost?
COST OVERVIEW ESTIMATE (per girl):- $ 40.00 - National Membership Fee (annual)1

Who can be in American Heritage Girls?
All girls, ages 5 through 18, are welcome irrespective of religion, race, national origin, or socio-economic status. We welcome girls whose parents are seeking a faith-based Christian programming where girls are introduced to new skills, experiences (including outdoor adventures) and leadership positions, as well as given opportunities to grow closer to the Lord.What are the ages for the troops?
Pathfinder: Ages 5-6Tenderheart: Ages 6-9
Explorer: Ages 9-12
Pioneer: Ages 12-14
Patriot: Ages 14-18
*Exceptions to the above requirements may be made on a case-by-case basis by consensus of the Troop Committee.
Are non-Christians allowed to join AHG?
Our Member Policy allows for girls of any faith (or no faith at all) to participate in the program of American Heritage Girls.Local Charter Organizations satisfy the specific ministry goals of their church or organization. In some cases, that may be as an outreach ministry to boys in the community. In other cases, that may be as an in-reach ministry specifically to minister to the families or members of the local church or organization. Therefore, individual Charter Organizations may have more specific membership requirements that limit Troop membership to boys of a certain faith or membership in a certain organization.
How does faith play into the AHG program?
American Heritage Girls remains committed to our founding principles of being Christ-centered and girl-centric. AHG focuses on providing forward-focusing Christian programming that is rich in opportunities for girls of all ages and abilities. As girls grow and change, so should the activities that they do. With each AHG Program Level, girls are introduced to new skills, experiences (including outdoor adventures) and leadership positions, as well as given opportunities to grow closer to the Lord.What is the emphasis of American Heritage Girls?
American Heritage Girls has 6 Program Emphases: Faith, Leadership, Social-Emotional Health, Outdoors, Citizenship, and Life Skills. AHG’s Program Emphases creates a well-rounded experience for girls. A girl who completes the AHG Program will be a Christ-following servant leader who is honoring, relational, anchored in Christ, and competent: a woman of integrity.Do you have or can you recommend a youth program for boys?
We recommend our brother program, the Trail Life USA.East Pickens Baptist Church also hosts a Trail Life troop (SC-2244) that meets the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday nights at the same time and location as AHG.
